Emblem

Leaf after leaf
Flower after flower
Some in the dawn of day,
Some in the after hour.
Alive they flourish,
And alive they fall,
And the earth that sustained them
Receives them all.

Born: July 23, 1939
Passed: November 3, 2025

James Alfred Heilbrun, was the beloved son of the late Amos and Kathryn Heilbrun. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan Heilbrun, and his children: Kathryn Jo Heilbrun, James (Karin) Heilbrun, Hollie (Ruben) Martinez, and Stepdaughter Andrea Baker (Kristine). He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother Amos (Judy), and Louise, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors, members of the Moorhead family, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

James was preceded in death by his siblings Karol Ann, Irvin, Floyd, and Edith.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, James was also a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. He spent most of his life as a dedicated truck driver and the proud owner of Heilbrun Moving. Known for his generous spirit, James found joy in delivering food to those in need, writing letters, drawing and painting, and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers—always with a good beer in hand.

He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for family and friends.

Rest in peace, Dad.
